Our impact
Measuring our impact
As a charity, we’re serious about measuring the positive contribution we make to charities and the communities they support. We do this by visiting our network partners, developing case studies and gathering feedback on the hundreds of ways in which donated goods are used in organisations up and down the country. We also run an annual online questionnaire which asks about the difference receiving products from In Kind Direct makes to organisations, their beneficiaries and the wider community.
What we've learnt this year
This year, a record number of respondents took part in our survey: we received 1,042 responses, which is a 21% response rate. Here are some of the ways in which goods from In Kind Direct have helped charities to deliver their amazing work over the last year:

What our partners have said
“In Kind Direct is a fantastic organisation to work with and make it really easy to get your surplus stock out to thousands of small charities that can really benefit from it. You can really see the impact this has. I would strongly recommend to any manufacturer or retailer, whether you are a small or a large, to get involved”.
Ajay Kavan, Vice President of Amazonfresh
“Sometimes clients come to us in an emergency situation with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. Mick came to us from social services. He has dementia and was a street sleeper. Until his financial issues were sorted out he had nothing - no clothes, no toiletries! Thanks to In Kind Direct we were able to issue an emergency pack.”
Rita Brooks, Woodland View Dementia Support Group, Rotherham
